Connect a client

Paste the server URL into the client. Then either approve the sign-in Helix shows you, or create an API key for a client that cannot sign in.

Server URL: https://mcp.helix-leads.com/mcp

Sign in from the client

  1. In the AI client, add a remote MCP server and paste the URL above.
  2. The client sends you to Helix to approve the connection.
  3. After you approve, that client can read and act in your workspace, within the limits on the connection.

Helix lists this connection under Settings, AI connections, with the kind OAuth. Revoking it signs that client out immediately.

API key

Some clients cannot do the sign-in step. For those:

  1. In Helix, open Settings, then AI connections, then New API key.
  2. Name it after the client, so you can tell connections apart later.
  3. Copy the key when Helix shows it. This is the only time the full key appears.
  4. Paste the server URL and the key into the client.

Anyone with the key can act in your workspace up to that connection’s limits. Store it like a password. If it leaks, revoke the connection. Revoking stops the key immediately.

Limits on one connection

Each connection has its own daily Strand cap. Blank means the server default. The row also shows how many Strands that connection has spent today.

Auto-buy can purchase a Strand pack when the balance falls below a threshold you set, up to a monthly ceiling. It stays off until you turn it on, and Helix asks you to confirm before it does.
